Min Ling and I are 热锅上的蚂蚁. Haha.
Finally got the chance to meet up with YongJie last Sun @ AMK Hub. We got so many things inside our hearts that we want to tell her. We would like to hear from her as well. Updated her on members' progress and current doings. Relate to her why our Campus Connection didn't work out. Told her our directions for SIM-YWDs and our targets. We just blabbered on and on.
She is indeed a compassionate iic. Encouraging us to strategise instead of going at high speed blindly. Thinking back, she is right. Being "trained" in ASD, both of us joined ITAC with high aspirations. Single-mindly, yet aimlessly, we just want to contribute as much as we can.
She told us Sensei had the same aspiration to bring happiness to as many ppl he can in Osaka. Yet Sensei knows he has to strategise. With strategic planning only did Sensei managed to win in the Osaka campaign. She had the same feeling years back after she was appointed as NUS iic, so she can understand how we feel. She also shared with us her experiences in SUJ.
We were deeply inspired and are really fortunate to have her to guide us. (:
Before our meetup, i went for my chapter's planning for Soka Women Glorious Victory Day. After gongyo the WDs were teasing one of the YWDs regarding her bf. Then i made a remark bluntly, saying "huh need to chant for a suitable life partner one meh".
This is it. The whole hall lit up almost instantly as the WDs reacted within split seconds. I became their target of relentless bombardment. "NEED!!" "MUST CHANT FOR A GOOD HUSBAND!" "YI DING YAO DE!" "CANNOT MISS IN YOUR PRAYERS ONE!" etc etc etc. All along i thought just by accumulating many good fortune will it be inevitable that we will find a suitable life partner. I didn't know we have to PRAY for it. But now i know.
Thanks to myself, my district leaders decided to discuss on the topic "Relationships and find a suitable life partner" for our discussion meeting. They suppose many YWDs will need some guidance on it and the WDs present will also be able to share their experiences too. Obviously i am the one in-charge of finding the materials since i am the one whom is most unsure of this topic. AH, I really need to read up and learn more! ):
Monday was my aunt's birthday. Dunno wad she likes so i got her a pouch and Lin JunJie's lastest album. After tutoring my cousin, we had a sumptuous dinner and cake-cutting. Though simple yet it was so heartwarming! I stayed over that night due to my cousin's request. She was so excited to sleep with me, i remembered. Silly girl. Hehe.
Did a presentation on Tuesday's Sociology lecture. We were to discuss on Structural Functionalism and how it can be applied to the current aspects of education in our society, paying particular attention to the theories of Emile Durkheim and Talcott Parsons. (Luckily we did not have to touch on Karl Marx and his heaps+piles of theories) We did fairly well in our presentation as everyone was able to relate and back up the points well with sufficient examples. Our lecturer even requested us to load our ppt onto the class system. Phew.
Went to SYC after that to help Jerry in his biology. This boy is finally doing some work. Though it was rather late but better than never. His biology+physics paper will be on this Friday. I already did my best. Even gave him my school badge to serve as a little motivation. Really hope he will score victory and actual proof. Jiayou Jerry, you can do it de. Show it to everyone!
Just finished doing my Math assignment. Pretty tough. Sigh. Supposed to sleep early as my lecture will be at 8.30am. But got the urge to blog. Gotta sleep now. Or else.
Everyday is a new beginning, we must wake up with renewed determination each day.
Good night!
