On Wednesday our Econs lecture mate Karl gave me & my friend each a milk candy from Taiwan. It tastes heavenly! It has also a very cute wrapper (:

Got back our math test yesterday morning. I got 70%, just a nice distinction on the dot! (:
Went to PS to meet Min Ling cos she wanna catch a movie. So we watched Balls of Fury. When we went into the theatre it was already pitch dark. So we made ourselves a laughing stock by stumbling at the wrong seats and blocking everyone cos we were at the most front. So paiseh. Haha. The show was not too bad, just that it was a super lame and -.-||| show.
We met up a member from SIM for the ITAC-SMU exam daimokukai at habourfront. Only her dad is active. She was from TP and had only attended their Friday Dinner once. We hope to get her involved more in gakkai so we got her to join Chingay 2008. YAY!
SIM cics were in full strength yesterday so we had a little planning on Campus Dialogue. After matching our timetable with one another we found out that Friday afternoon is the best timing. I dun mind making a trip down to school cos i have no lecture, no problem at all. We've decided on Discussions on Youth compilations cos we did not want to start with something profound. Though i dunno Weizhang very well but i can tell he seemed abit troubled. I hope things will go well for him.
A few updates for us. Things are moving, i'm happy (:

In addition Roy shared with us a guidance on Faith. I find it so applicable to me so i requested him to send me yesterday. Here are some impt pointers that really stuck me hard:
I'm doing many SGI activities, but so what? The real question is how much have I changed my life, my environment, my livelihood? How much benefit have I received?
Faith is not "feeling refreshed" after prayers & activities. Faith exists for us to change our lives.
It is important to determine to change. That is to pray "I want to change". And then take necessary action. There is absolutely no use to ask the Gohonzon "What should I do?" There will be no answer. You must decide what you want to accomplish, not the Gohonzon. While chanting, we always try to find ways out of our problem. Therefore, our ichinen is not directed towards the Gohonzon, but directed elsewhere. Thus it follows, that there is no real joy in daimoku & activities. We just keep doing what were told to do.
President Toda & President Ikeda said there are 10 reasons why no change or benefits occur in senior leaders' lives, even though they have been practicing for a long time.
1. Unclear determination
2. No concrete targets in faith
3. Doing regular Gongyo but no concrete prayer
4. Passive gongyo & activities from a sense of obligation
5. A complaining & begrudging attitude about faith
6. Seeking spirit for senior leaders/ guidance has become weaker
7. Not working hard in office or home
8. Depressed because of various sufferings in life
9. Weak of sense of mission for Kosen Rufu
10. Sense of responsibility as leader is weaker
Even if
one of the above is missing, then faith has become habitual & there is no benefit. (Die liao i think i have more than one)
This is no miracle. This is the Law. This is reason. WHAT IS AMAZING IS WHEN YOU
DON'T GET BENEFITS EVEN THOUGH YOU DO CHANT.
It was a really strict yet powerful long guidance by Mr. Kawai back in 1999. I believe it does apply to most of us too. Let us learn something new today.
