Warning! This is a long post. Not for the faint-hearted. Haha.
Ah! It has been a long while since i last updated.
EXAMSSociology: Was ok. I "piah" my way through the essays on Globalisation and Organisations. Managed my time pretty well as compared to mock. MAX WEBER came out!
IBM: I did something very embarassing. Took my stuff and sat down at my seat already. Tried to recall what i had "studied" (but actually is
memorised). Realise i forgot a whole lot on
Johnson & Scholes' Culture Web. So i ran all the way back (my seat was at the front) to my bag. Imagine from one end of EXPO hall to the other end. zzZ. Hundreds who saw me running would definitely wonder what was this girl doing. Haha. But people were still coming in and the invigilators didn't stop me, so who cares? Fight till the last min, man! HaHA. And guess what, Culture Web came out.
Overall, i was thankful to the ghz, really. One-hour-before-every-paper indeed works. I know and i will never doubt the power of the mystic law. My results may not be fantastic, but success is when you know that you had won even before you take the paper. I did it! As compared to A'levels, i had this sense of overwhelming joy surging from within the moment i end my last paper. A feeling of victory, i presume. I swear that if i score 2nd-upper or above, i will share my testimonial and write a letter to Sensei! Will ask Jianli deliver it for me to Japan. Hehe. For i know, at least, i applied the strategy of the lotus sutra in my daily life. 佛法既生活!
TRANSLATIONI am very grateful to have Ping Sheng and Xiaoying to be my team mates. They are very responsible and hardworking comrades to work with. Although the portion which we are translating is supposed to be the toughest among all, yet we did it! Not only did we managed to churn out the 1st draft and terms list, but more importantly is the comradeship built over the sessions and the lessons we learnt for this project. A million thanks to them, you guys are great! Ping Sheng also shared with me alot on being a leader, as i was still having reservations being a D1 due to the my age gap with the YWDs in my district. Xie xie ni Ping Sheng!
GAKKAI"The lions are back," said Benjamin of ITAC when the 3 of us finished our examinations. Haha. When did we became lions? But hopefully we are up to it, cos i feel that there are still alot more we can do for sd and itac. Coming up is the Nationwide meeting, Minling and i will be representing itac for the 90sec presentation. Not very sure wad is it about, will get a clearer picture at the meeting at SYC later. Hols now, so i must start calling up members for dialogues and homevisits! =D
Coming Sat will be district study meeting, MUST attend! Cos we must not take every opportunity to learn for granted, especially when it's for the greater good = kofu.
Have been chanting for the success of Chapter Friendship Meeting in Sep. Being the emcee is not easy, i'll do my best to fulfill this responsibility that has been endowed upon me. For souvenirs, i will have to come up with a list of Sensei guidances. Jiayou jiayou!
KLWent to KL with Piggy Song. My first time to KL! Stayed with his granny and aunt. Had a tough time shaking off their chiwawa Lucky. But he's very cute and hyper. Barks loudly yet is very timid. Oh ya, he's pretty good jumping on his 2 hindlegs. Haha. Granny is a nice old lady and she is robust despite being already 80 years old. His aunt is also rather nice but can be a lil weird at times. Hmm.
People in KL speaks Cantonese most of the time, which i dun understand! =( But the food in KL is really nice and authentic, as most of the hawkers prepared the ingredients themselves, like the char siew for the wanton mee. Jianli loved it to bits, finger lickin' good indeed!
Watched 3 movies in KL; Indiana Jones, Narnia and Superhero Movie, cos it's really cheap to watch there. The cost of a ticket in Sg is equal to 3 tickets over there. So you can imagine why we became movie fanatics. Heh. Amongst all i perfer Narnia, cos the storyline is rather interesting despite having not watched the first episode. Handsome Prince and good-looking young King Peter is a plus point! =P He prefers Indiana Jones, you know, guys and all the bang-bangs.
Sunway Lagoon is a nice place. But expensive and not-so-worth-it. That pig has been complaining and lamenting the moment he stepped into the theme park. We felt that the spaces had not been put to good use as they have a few unnecessary amenities that cater to only the minorities. I took my first 360 degrees ride there! Quite shiok haha.
Spent most of our time window shopping and playing arcade. Haha! I hereby proudly declare that i'm the queen of i-dunno-what-it-calls game! It's a table game where you have to hit a round and flat disc into opponent's goal. Tell me anyone? And i love shooting bball! we make a great pairing. if only we can break the record. =)
Petronas Twin Tower is more magnificent than i had imagined. It's like a piece of art, very bright and beautiful against the dark background. We realise KL people dun wear singlets out, and the Rum Raisin ice-cream at Hagen Daaz is good! Ha. I'm digressing..
I enjoyed this trip very much, another memorable experience for me! Learnt alot about the national culture in Msia. Shall sieve only the good things and forget all about the bad things that happened there. Realised some life lessons there too. Compromise is very important. =D
Will upload the pics once i get them.

Finals – Sun, 15 Jun 2008 1.00 pm – 6.00 pm As a singles player myself, it's always more exciting to watch Men Singles as compared to Women Singles. =D
Some of the top-notch players lending their names to this event:

Ronald Susilo(SIN) our home-grown star player.

Taufik Hidayat(INA), a renowned player from Indonesia. Aviva Open Singapore 2005 Mens Singles Champion

Kenneth Jonassen(DEN) Aviva Open Singapore 2004 Mens Singles Champion (but i think he is not as good as his fellow competitor Peter Gade, hehe)

Peter Gade(DEN) Aviva Open Singapore 2006 Mens Singles Champion (My fav. player! ^-^)
I was pretty disappointed that they wouldn't be playing this time round:

Chen Hong(CHN) A very very experienced player! (i love him to bits, my another fav.)

Boonsak Ponsana (THA) Aviva Open Singapore 2007 Mens Singles Champion
Have volunteered once in year 2005. Got quite a few signatures from Susilo, Hidayat, Chen Hong and 2 other which i forgot whom were they from. I hope to have close encounter with Peter Gade this year! d^-^b
I'm so looking forward to it!!!
