This year's examiners are horrible! downright horrible.
I am so going to die on my MM.
Suxian is going to die on her POA.
Alan is going to die on his Sociology.
Chester is going to die on everything, i think. Hahaha jk.
Our first paper was Principles of Accounting on last thursday.
When i realised the Cashflow wasn't one of the questions that came out (which it 95% did every year), i sian 1/2 already.
When i could not balance my Profit&Loss account and the Balance Sheet, the more sian i became.
However, Dr Libon Fung was a good UK lecturer, as compared to our local lecturer Balwant Singh. I learnt more from him in the 2-days revision lectures as compared to Balwant in the past 1/2 year. I am just disappointed in myself for not doing as good as i expected it to be.
The killer one was Management Math. Already am i so weak in math, plus the "hints" on the topics which the new UK examiner aka frigging old man Dr Alan Pryor gave us to bang on,
didn't come out. I feel quite like strangling him. I heard from my friend that one person cried while doing the paper. I was crying in my heart though. This was the first ever paper which i felt like leaving halfway after it started. The paper was from 2.30 to 5.30. At 4pm, i am already shaking my leg. See how bad it is. Oh my, i am so going to retake next year. My friends whom wanted to count on it for a 1st class were equally disappointed. SIGH.
Yesterday was Marketing. Yes, my favourite! I am SO going to bang on it man, even though it was on the day right after MM. Did manage to self-boost my morale up after a sumptous dinner my darling grandma cooked. So was pretty well-prepared.
Similarly, Patricia did wanted us to bang on certain topics which she thought had high chances of appearing this year. Luckily i did not intend to spot. I studied 10 out of 13 topics, leaving out Distribution, Corporate Social Responsibility and Customer Relationship Management. I am so fortunate that NONE of these 3 topics came out. Suxian say i very pro, i think so too. Haha!
But yesterday's paper is a much tougher one as compared to our prelim. Dr Haider Ali's questions sounded like GP paper, where he gave us quite a # of two-sentences questions.
Like
"Many people nowadays are not willing to spend their money on speciality goods. Discuss how it is relevant for marketers to improve on their branding and pricing techniques in order to cope with this phenomenon."I crossed it out immediately. Lol. Cos i already forgotten how to deal with this kind of qn. I prefer those with specificity.
Like the one which i did to test us on the
buying behaviour of consumers and the governing mechanisms on 1. Asset Specificity 2. Information Asymmetry 3. Bounded Rationality 4. Opportunism.I love Marketing a lot! (as if it is not obvious enough)
Hope it will be the paper that would not dash my hope for a good pass.
My last paper is Corporate Finance. Another @!#%$ paper. Good luck to me.
Ok I shall head my butt off to bed and put a full-stop to end my rantings.
